It can be useful for impact, vulnerability and risk assessments, and for adaptation planning.

    Alberta Climate and Atlas Maps contains gridded and mapped displays of historically observed temperature, precipitation, soil moisture, drought, fire indices, radiation, wind, growing season length, frost, and an agroclimatic atlas. Data are presented as summaries across the monitoring period, which varies depending on the variable and location(s) of interest. Data is available graphically and as mapped products.

    Archived Fire Maps (Opens in a new Window)

    The Fire Information database contains current and archived fire information. Current information includes current fire situation and update reports and a forecast fire hazard map. Archived information includes fire hazard maps, historical fire status information, fire status/situation/update reports, and fire status displays.     Baseline Hydrology Statistics (Opens in a new Window)

    Baseline Hydrology Statistics includes information on streamflow regimes in the Southwestern Hudson Bay and Nelson River watershed, which lies within Ontario. A review and summary of the streamflow statistics at the primary watershed scale is also provided. Data are available for download in tabular format upon request.

    BC Agriculture Water Calculator (Opens in a new Window)

    The BC Agricultural Water Calculator uses 10 years of historical climate data, from 2001 to 2010, to calculate how much water farmers should need for their farm in the "new climate normal", which farmers can reference in their water licence applications. Government of BC staff involved with water authorizations also use this calculator when reviewing applications. Data are available for individual land parcels in tabular format.

    Far North Major River Systems Maps (Opens in a new Window)

    Major River Systems in the Far North contains maps of major river systems in the Far North Region, including Albany, Winisk, Severn, Moose, Ekwana and Attawapiskat Rivers. Maps display gauging systems and show the physiography of the region, including major river systems, road networks, First Nation communities alongside ongoing stream and climate monitoring. Data are available for download in mapped formats

    Farmwest (Opens in a new Window)

    Farmwest.com is a website launched in 2001 to provide weather and climate information as well as a number of decision-support tools to the agricultural sector. Farmwest is linked to 397 weather stations across Canada from federal, provincial, municipal and private weather station networks. Data includes temperature, precipitation, growing degree days, pest degree days, T-Sum calculator, and seasonal weather forecasts. Data are searchable by station and time period, and are available graphically.

    Manitoba Drought Monitor (Opens in a new Window)

    The Manitoba Drought Monitor presents hydrologic forecast information, reports, current conditions, and flood alerts. Water availability and drought conditions are made available each month for a variety of locations in Manitoba. An interactive map is also available to view rivers and lakes, groundwater, precipitation, reservoirs, and drought for various locations in Canada. General information about drought and the history of drought in Manitoba is also available.

    Ontario Climate Data Portal (Opens in a new Window)

    The Ontario Climate Data Portal contains statistically and dynamically downscaled climate projections under various emissions scenarios. It incorporates 10km x 10km resolution projections using a combined downscaling technique based on 209 ensemble members of global and regional climate model results released under the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). Data, maps, figures, and reports are provided at a daily temporal scale.

    Weather Conditions and Reports (Opens in a new Window)

    The Weather Conditions and Reports database contains historical climate data at various scales from across Manitoba. About 109 stations monitor air temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, wind speed/wind direction and soil temperature. In addition to regular weather and soil reports, users can access more specialized tools, including disease and crop condition reports. Data are available in tabular, mapped, and report formats.

    Wildfire Program (Opens in a new Window)

    The Manitoba Fire Mapping Program provides an interactive map, as well as fire location maps formatted for viewing in Google Earth and as ESRI shapefiles. These operational map products are a compilation of data from various sources including the crews who suppress the fires, satellites, and hand rendered maps. The fire shapes and sizes may differ from the actual fire occurrence due to changing weather conditions and a variety of natural, electronic, and human factors beyond the control of Manitoba Conservation.
